These terms govern your use of Famly Downloader — the browser extension and the small service behind it. By installing or using Famly Downloader, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Famly Downloader is operated by Edison Spencer, trading as Famly Downloader. We are not VAT-registered. You can reach us at support@spencer.cv.
Famly Downloader helps you download your child's photos and videos from your nursery website, so you keep access to them even after you lose access to your account — for example, once your child leaves the nursery.
Famly Downloader is an independent, unofficial tool and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any nursery website it works with — see our FAQ for the up-to-date list of supported nursery websites.
You sign in through the extension with your Google account, which we use to identify you and keep track of your download count. Your email address is encrypted and is not stored as plain text — see our Privacy Policy for further detail. You're responsible for keeping your Google and nursery website credentials secure — we never see or store your Google or nursery website password.
We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you've broken these rules.
Photo downloads are free to use up to a download limit — see our FAQ for the current limit, which may change from time to time. Video downloads are a Premium-only feature and are not available on the free tier at any volume. Premium is a one-off payment, not a subscription, and removes the photo limit and unlocks video downloads for one year from your purchase date. We may offer promo codes that reduce the purchase price. Payments are processed by Stripe; see our Privacy Policy for what information that involves.
If you're in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you may have a right to withdraw from your Premium purchase — see our Right of Withdrawal page for how that works and when it no longer applies.
If a Premium payment is refunded, Premium access is removed immediately and permanently.
If a payment is instead disputed with your bank or card issuer (a chargeback), Premium access is suspended while the dispute is under review. If it's resolved in our favour, Premium access is restored for any time remaining in your one-year period; if not, the suspension is permanent.
Any refund is limited to the amount you actually paid — if a promo code reduced your purchase price, including to zero, that's the most that can be refunded.
We may update Famly Downloader, or these terms, from time to time. If we make significant changes to these terms, the "last updated" date above will reflect it. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
You can stop using Famly Downloader at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or terminate your access to the service, including for breach of the acceptable use rules above.
Famly Downloader is provided "as is." We're not affiliated with the nursery websites we work with and aren't responsible for their services — including outages, changes to their sites that affect the extension, or the loss of any content on their end.
We don't guarantee any particular level of uptime or availability. Famly Downloader may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates, or unplanned incidents. We're not liable for any loss caused by downtime, and we don't provide service credits or other compensation for it.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory consumer protections you're entitled to under the law of your country of residence, including the right of withdrawal described above.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute — without taking away any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
